Paul R. Renfrow, age 74, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Marianna, Arkansas on November 13, 1941. He was retired from Union Carbide/Dow and was a member of Holy Family Parish. His hobby was playing the drums. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bonnie Coy and Virginia Dean Renfrow; sister Bonnie Renfrow; father-in-law and mother-in-law Vincent and Katherine Serio; sister-in-laws Dolores Moor and Cheryl Carlson; and brother-in-law Kenneth Carlson.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Vivian Renfrow; children Paul Renfrow, Jr and fiancé Christine Eblin and Katy Renfrow Smith and husband Sherwin; brother-in-laws Sam V. Serio and wife Nina and Joel W. Moor, Jr.; grandchildren Carson Smith and Allie Katherine Smith; special family friend Brenda Langford; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Rosary will be recited beginning at 8:30 A.M. on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. A Memorial Mass will follow at 10:00 A.M., with Father Frank Fabj officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Patrick O. Smith, Jack Newding, Charles Hart, Gene Lucas and Mike Healy for their generosity and compassion during this difficult time. The family would also like to thank the UTMB Health doctors and staff for their dedicated care.
