Vernon Plowman Obituary

Vernon Joseph Plowman passed from this life on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, in Houston, after a seven month battle with cancer. 

Born October 12, 1956, in Galveston, Texas, he graduated in 1975 from O’Connell High School in Galveston and is a proud member of the Texas A&M Class of 1979 and the Lone Star Tailgating Association. His passions included hunting, fishing, golf and Texas A&M sports. He was very proud to be associated with MC2 Civil for 11 years as the Operation Manager, but one colleague said,  "he was everything".

He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Glenn Plowman, and wife, Daniele Dawne Watson Plowman. Survivors include his mother, Marguerite Plowman of Weatherford; sisters, Karen Plowman Shelton and husband, Timothy of Weatherford, and Kathy Plowman Williams and husband, Jeffrey of Weatherford; nieces Lindsay Shelton and husband, Eric Travis of Hermosa Beach, CA, Abby Williams Church, husband Dee, and son Presley, of Amarillo; nephews Blake Shelton of College Station, Dustin Williams of Stephenville, and Jake Williams of Weatherford. 

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am on February 7, 2025, at J Levy & Termini Funeral Home, 2128 Broadway and Ave J.  Vernon was a proud Texas Aggies, Houston Astros and Jimmy Buffett fan and requested that his friends and family dress accordingly for the funeral.     

Memorials in the form of donations may be made in Vernon Plowman’s name to O’Connell College Preparatory School, 1323 23rd Street, Galveston, Texas, 77550.
