Tina Marie Becker, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and dear friend, passed away peacefully in her home on March 8, 2026. Born in Galveston, Texas on July 7, 1976, Tina spent her life rooted in the community she cherished.
Tina grew up in Galveston and attended Ball High School, where she formed lifelong friendships and began shaping the generous, spirited woman so many came to love. She later worked as security for the Port of Galveston, a role in which her warm personality, protective nature, and gracious spirit made her a trusted presence. Tina had a gift for making friends wherever she went, her kindness was effortless, and her heart was open to all.
She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Becker, and her grandparents, Bernice and Jesse Zapata.
Tina leaves behind a large and loving family who will forever carry her memory. She is survived by her mother, Nellie Zapata; her sisters Joanne Williams (and husband David) of Magnolia, Texas, and children Alexis Becker, Rachel Zile, and Sara Ouellet; and Katherine Becker of Galveston, Texas, and her children Elizabeth Connley and Aliyah Cooper.
She is also survived by her close and caring friend Yohance Kitson, and her children: Sarina Vargas, her husband Ryan Burns, and children Colson Ercanbrack, Lilith Ercanbrack, and Wednesday Burns; Robert Vargas III, his wife Alexus Guajardo, and children Eliana Vargas, Robert Vargas IV, and Zion Vargas; Jesse Arespe; Mercedes Diaz Scurry, her husband Sherman Wayne Scurry, Jr., and children Jerome Charles, Jr., Jemari Charles, Jedouri Charles, Samaira Scurry, and Sher’kur Scurry.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M., with Reverend Peter Cammarano officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Arespe, Roger Connley, Alvin Cooper, Mickey Ouellet, Sherman Wayne Scurry, Jr., and Aaron Silva. Honorary Pallbearers are Robert Vargas III and Yohance Kitson.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Galveston EMS and the dedicated medical team of UTMB Emergency Services for their care, compassion, and support.
Tina’s legacy of love, laughter, and generous spirit will continue to shine through the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
