Stephen Capps Obituary

Stephen Herb Capps passed from this life into the presence of his savior Jesus Christ May 15th, 2026, in Galveston, TX at the age of 77.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday May 22nd, 2026 at 11am at Christ Chapel 402 18th Street Galveston, TX 77550.

Graveside services will be held at 3pm Friday May 22nd, 2026 at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery, 7301 Memorial St., Hitchcock, TX 77563.

Steve was born in Galveston County, TX on January 23, 1949, to Jessie Lester Capps Sr. and Lillie Vaughn Capps.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jessie Lester Capps Jr.

Steve is survived by his son Stephen Vaughn Capps and daughter-in-law Shawn Coleman, son Shannon Troy Capps and daughter Shelly Denise Friend; granddaughter Madelyn Friend; and son-in-law Micheal Friend; daughter Sherry Capps and son-in-law Kage Smith.
