Raymond J. Gonsoulin, III (R.J.) (Proud BOI)

Raymond J. Gonsoulin, III (R.J.) passed away Friday afternoon, March 31, 2023 in Galveston, at the age of 63. R.J. graduated from O’Connell High School in 1978. He loved to talk to people and always had a big smile on his face. He never met a stranger. He also loved to fish with his dad in his earlier years, and loved to be at the beach, his second home. He was a proud BOI. He loved his family to the fullest, and had many friends. He will be dearly missed and was loved by all who knew him.  “Fly high my Lil Brother”. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Gonsoulin, Jr and Mary J. (Baby) Gonsoulin. 

R.J. is survived by his sister Debbie Socias and husband Tony; his only nephew Anthony III(Lil Tony) and wife Leaha Socias; great-niece Myla Garza; and great nephews Anthony Socias IV and Landon Socias, who he loved dearly. 

A memorial service will be held at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 11:00 A.M., with Deacon Sam Dell’Olio officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 A.M.
