Patricia (Cissie) Pearl Hestdalen, 78, of Alvin, Texas, passed away in her home surrounded by love on November 25, 2025.
She was born in Galveston, Texas to Cecil and Patricia (Suderman) Dickerson. She moved around a bit as a child but especially loved her time riding horse bare back in Mule Creek, NM. Cissie graduated from Ball High on Galveston Island and later in life earned an associates degree from NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND. Throughout her life Cissie worked part time jobs as a book keeper for family businesses, she was an administrative assistant for Emmanuel Lutheran Church, and worked for the city of Wolverton, MN. Her most coveted position was being a stay-at-home mother.
Cissie will always be remembered for her ability to welcome anyone into her home and for her giving nature, no matter how little she had to spare. As a mother she always put her children' s needs before her own and reminded you to buckle up and watch for animals when leaving the house. She never left you wondering if she loved you. Cissie’s greatest joy was spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren with candy and treats, cheering them on at their respective sporting events, or coloring and playing games on her iPad with them. Her hobbies included crocheting, reading, watching the Astros, ‘cop shows’ and Hallmark movies, and gossiping with her Melbourne Senior Apartment friends.
Cissie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bruce, brother Rob Dickerson, granddaughters Carissa and Kelsey Jackson. She is survived by her brothers Ray (Courtney) Johnson of Fort Worth, TX and Jack (Nanette) Dickerson of Galveston, TX, her children, Chuck (Sherry) Jackson of Wahpeton, ND, Brenda (Carrie Pitcher) Deplazes of Grand Forks, ND, Jason (Monica) Jackson of Bryan, TX, Clint (Tracie) Jackson of League City, TX, Travis Jackson of Alvin, TX, Faith (Jessie) Rieger of Walcott, ND, and Kristin (Cody Hendrickson) Hoechst of Wahpeton, ND, as well as 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 10am at Zion Global Methodist Church in rural Walcott, ND. Donations in her honor to Haven Midwest or Harbor Hospice House of Houston would be greatly appreciated.
