It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Odilon Garcia Tovar, who departed this life on February 15, 2025, at the age of 55. A beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, Odilon was a cherished member of his community in Bolivar Peninsula, Texas. 

Con gran pesar, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Odilon García Tovar, quien partió de esta vida el 15 de febrero de 2025, a la edad de 55 años. Amado padre, hijo, hermano, tío y amigo, Odilon fue un miembro muy querido de su comunidad en Bolivar Peninsula, Texas. 

Born on April 2, 1969, Odilon was raised with strong values of hard work, kindness, and devotion to family. Odilon was a loving father to his two sons, Lawrence and Jon, who were his greatest pride and joy. He is also survived by his mother, Elisa, his father, Mardonio, his siblings—Fernando, Mario, Armando, Marcos, Rigoberto, and Lupe—as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will forever cherish his memory. 

Nacido el 2 de abril de 1969, Odilon fue criado con sólidos valores de trabajo duro, bondad y devoción a la familia. Fue un padre amoroso para sus dos hijos, Lawrence y Jon, quienes fueron su mayor orgullo y alegría. También le sobreviven su madre, Elisa, su padre, Mardonio, sus hermanos—Fernando, Mario, Armando, Marcos, Rigoberto y Lupe—además de numerosos sobrinos, sobrinas y familiares que siempre atesorarán su recuerdo. 

Odilon will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, his generous heart, and the warmth he brought to every gathering. His presence will be deeply missed, but his love and legacy will continue to live on in the lives of those he touched. 

Odilon será recordado por su inquebrantable ética de trabajo, su generoso corazón y la calidez que brindaba a cada reunión. Su presencia será profundamente extrañada, pero su amor y legado vivirán en las vidas de quienes lo conocieron. 

Dios te llamó a su lado, para que desde allí seas la luz que ilumina nuestro camino.
Gracias por todo el cariño que nos diste. Te recordaremos mientras esperamos el momento en que nos podamos reunir de nuevo.

Viewing & Rosary / Velorio y Rosario – Thursday, February 20 / Jueves 20 de febrero at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home. 

5:00 PM to 9:00 PM - Rosary and Visitation / Rosario y Visits

Mass & Burial / Misa y Entierro – Friday, February 21 / Viernes 21 de febrero at St. Patrick Catholic Church / en la Iglesia Católica San Patricio.

10:00 AM – Mass at St. Patrick Catholic Church / Misa en la Iglesia Católica San Patricio

Burial to follow at Port Bolivar Cemetery / El entierro se llevará a cabo en el Cementerio de Port Bolivar.

Luncheon / Almuerzo – Following the burial, the family will be hosting a luncheon at the Bolivar Fire House. The family kindly requests that no alcohol be brought.
Después del entierro, la familia ofrecerá un almuerzo en la Estación de Bomberos de Bolivar. Se ruega a los asistentes no llevar alcohol. 

Odilon’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
