Mary Chaney

Mary Chaney departed this life on Saturday, October 23, 2021 in Webster, Texas. She was born October 25, 1938 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Marcos and Stephana Ramirez. She attended Galveston Schools and graduated from Ball High School. She was a resident of La Porte, Texas for 30 years. 

She is preceded in death by her children, Henry Valdez, Stephanie Valdez, Norma Valdez Paschetag and Albert Valdez; her parents Marcos and Stephana Ramirez; brothers Robert Ramirez and Joe Ramirez (Esther); and brother-in-law Raymond Kozak. 

She is survived by her son Mike Valdez, III; her husband of 35 years, Bill Chaney; grandchildren Heather Eileen Newcomb (Todd) and Kendahl Rhea Paschetag; great-grandchildren Dakota, Taylor and Colby Newcomb; sister Amalia Kozak; brother Val Ramirez (Carol); daughter-in-law Carol Cannon Valdez; Fur Baby Elle; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. 

There will be a public visitation on Monday, November 1, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home. 

In lieu of flowers, all donations can be sent to the Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan Del Valle National Shrine, 400 N. Virgen de San Juan Blvd., San Juan, Texas 78589.
