Marion Edge Gonzales

Marion Edge Gonzales, age 99, passed away peacefully at her residence with her family at her side on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. She was born in San Benito, Texas on June 24, 1925. She was of the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, where she volunteered for numerous years helping to fold the church bulletins. She loved water aerobics, going to the Casino and playing Bingo. However, her greatest passion and love was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all of those who knew and loved her. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Joe “Joker” Gonzales; daughter Gloria Gonzales; and her 4 siblings. 

She is survived by her daughter Linda Gonzales-Rains(Jim); son Joe David Gonzales; grandchildren Jimmie Garcia(Shelley), Monique Beasley(Jon), Karla Upadhyay and Carlos Gonzales(Alexis); great-grandchildren Morgen Garcia, Shelby Beasley, Jonny Beasley, Julian Gonzales and Brendan Gonzales; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the Mass beginning at 9:00 A.M. 

Pallbearers will be Jimmie Garcia, Carlos Gonzales, Morgen Garcia, Jon Beasley, Jonny Beasley and Mark Lozano.
