James Michael Heflin

In loving memory of James Michael Heflin, a beloved brother, devoted son, uncle and adoring father to his 7-year-old son. 

James Michael Heflin, age 49, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024. He was born on March 5, 1974 in Lufkin, Texas. 

James was an incredible kind and thoughtful person, but most important, he was a devoted father.  James enjoyed fishing, being on the water, baseball and spending time with family and friends. 

Left behind to cherish his memories are his son, Tristen Heflin (his mother Tracey Nance), father Frank Heflin (Patti), brother Graham Heflin (Julie), niece Analisha Heflin Betz (Jacob), nephew Christopher Heflin (Ani), and great niece Lydia Betz.  Other survivors include numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

Preceded in death and joined in heaven by his mother, Susan Heflin, his maternal grandparents Clark Keck and Olive Smith and his paternal grandparents Marvin and Mildred Heflin. 

James filled our lives with love, compassion and so much joy.  He did not know a stranger, lived life to the fullest and always had a story to tell.  His legacy lives on in the laughter and memories he created with his son, family and friends.  As we mourn the loss of a remarkable individual, let us celebrate the beautiful life James shared with us.  May he rest in eternal peace. 

Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 2:00 pm at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home, with Reverend Lance Anaya officiating.  Interment will follow at a later date.  Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 1:00 pm.  We invite family and friend to gather after the services at a location to be announced at the service.
