George Urbina, "Georgie", age 52 peacefully passed away Saturday in the early morning hours of August 24, 2024. The good Lord blessed George to spend his last earthly hours with his baby brother Cesar Urbina at his home in Matamoros, MX. before slipping away while he slept. George was born and raised on Galveston Island, a true B.O.I, November 3, 1971, to Anastacio Sr. and Elia Urbina.
George was a passionate man who enjoyed and loved his family, especially his children, and grandchildren. He was known as a person with a big heart and would help any of his friends and family when they called upon him without hesitation. George was talented in many areas of industrial work and made a good living from this. George had many talents and pastime hobbies that he enjoyed; he was a wonderful artist, a gardener, he truly had a green thumb, he was a strategic card and pool table player. George was a realist, a person that would make sure to get things done one way or another; he was a very social person, from this George made many friends and acquaintances throughout his life.
Most of all, George enjoyed spending time with the ones he loved and those that loved him.
George is preceded in death by his parents Anastacio Sr. and Elia Urbina.
George is survived by his children George Urbina Jr., Jonathan George Urbina and wife Carolina Urbina, George Angel Urbina, Deanna Gonzalez, Crystal Salinas, and his beloved grandsons Aydan George Urbina and Adriel George Urbina. He also leaves behind his siblings, Dora Calderon and husband Trinidad, Oscar Urbina, wife Andrea, Sandra Martin and husband Randall, Anastacio Urbina Jr. and wife Brandy, Elsa Atkinson and husband Todd, Cesar Urbina and wife Marina.
George's sons would like to acknowledge a very special person in their father's life, Araseli Tagle, whom he loved and shared many years with bringing and blending their families together and sharing many special life moments. We thank you with all of our hearts. All our love, Jon and Georgie.
