Elizabeth Carolyn Ames

Elizabeth Carolyn Ames(Carolyn), age 81, departed this life on October 23, 2022 after experiencing a series of Strokes. Carolyn was born July 14, 1941 in Corsicana, Texas. She met the love of her life in early 1961 and she and Robert Ames married December 22, 1961.  They were married for 61 years. She was a stay at home Mom to her 3 children and in her later life assisted managing her husband's company, Honey Do Home Repair.

Carolyn was a very talented individual. She had mastered Tole painting, sewing, jewelry making, scrapbooking, cardmaking, and cake decorating. She also loved animals and had numerous dogs throughout her life. Some of her happiest memories were of enjoying the wildlife in Colorado. Sometimes it would be a bear rummaging through the trash, or deer coming to be hand fed.

She is preceded in death by her parents John and Lena Mae Eaton and her son Robert Ames II.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years Robert Ames, daughters Robin Ruland and Debra Kimmey, Grandchildren Chloe Drewitt, Sierra Schwetzer, Kaitlyn and Christian Kimmey and Great Grandchildren Amelia and Jackson Cook and her sister Linda Murtha.
