Elisa Kathryn McAvin

Elisa Kathryn McAvin, age 52, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born in Moline, Illinois on April 14, 1973.  

She worked as an annuity consultant. She loved the Harry Potter, Twilight and Marvel movies. She also loved shopping, animals and music. Her greatest loves were her sons and anyone we brought home, and Wyatt’s Mustang. 

She is survived by her spouse Eugene McAvin; children Christopher Thorstenson, Wyatt Thorstenson, Matthew McAvin and Emilie McAvin; parents Bruce and Susan Vanlerberghe; and brother Jason Vanlerberghe. 

A celebration of life will be held on Friday December 12, 2025 from 5-7PM at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home, with Rebecca Downs officiating. 

The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Henry and Thomas from Bristol Hospice.
