Darlene Gerami Boening 

Darlene was born and raised in Galveston, TX on March 4, 1945 and passed away peacefully with her family at her side on September 15, 2025.   

Darlene graduated from Ball High School and was self-employed and housewife. 

Darlene was a huge Houston Astros fan and did not miss a game. She would watch the game on the TV as well as the game cast on her IPad. She knew the players stats better than most people. Here favorite player was Jose Altuve.  She also loved Mardi Gras.  For at least 25 years we would spend the first weekend of Mardi Gras at the Commodore celebrating the day with family and friends. 

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents John and Bertie Mae Gerami, her brother Robert (BoBo) Gerami, and bother-in-law, Sam D’Auria. 

Darlene is survived by her husband of 60 years, Albert T. Boening Jr., son and daughter in law, Teddy and Sharon, and grandchildren Amber and Anthony.  She is also survived by one brother, John (Piggy) Gerami and Diane of La Marque, and two sisters, Earlene Pfiester and Wayne of Smithville and RoseMary D’Auria (PeeWee), of Texas City, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to thank Bristol Hospice especially Orfa, RN, Michelle and Chad. 

Darlene’s wishes are to be Cremated.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 11:00am - 1:00pm at J. Levy Termini Funeral Home. A service will follow at 1:00 pm.
