Charlotte Levy died on February 5, 2025, in Austin, Texas.
Charlotte was born in 1939 in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Helen Sternberg Arnold and Arthur Arnold. While visiting her Aunt Rae and Uncle Harry Schreiber in Galveston, as a teenager, she met Stanley Levy. They fell in love, and married in 1958. They shared a full life together in Galveston, raising 3 children - Darryl, Mark and Scott - and later delighting in many grandchildren.
Charlotte’s life was built around her family, friends and Judaism. She was a loving and strong wife and mother, and a loyal friend. She hosted many wonderful Jewish holiday meals and other celebrations in her home. She made a positive difference to many people.
Charlotte was predeceased by her late husband, Stanley Levy. She is survived by her 3 sons and their families: Darryl and wife Syma Levy, of Bellaire, Texas; Mark and wife Lauren Levy, of Austin, Texas; and Scott and wife Julia Merry, of Dallas, Texas; her beloved grandchildren: Aaron Levy, Rachel and husband Ryan Magaziner, Sophie Levy, Jennie Levy, Joshua Kahlil Levy, Arthur Levy and Avery Levy; and her first great-grandchild, Parker Stanley Magaziner. She will live on in the memory of this family and many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends that were such an important part of her life.
There will be a graveside service in Galveston on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at 2 pm, at the Congregation B’nai Israel Cemetery, 2802 61st Street in Galveston.
