Charlene Rae Watts

Charlene Rae Watts, age 58, passed away in the early morning on Saturday, March 30, 2024. She was born in Galveston, Texas on May 7, 1965. She was definitely proud to call herself a “BOI”, and she was surely an Island girl at heart. Charlene attended school in Galveston and La Marque, but then came back to Galveston and graduated at Ball High School in 1983. She was a proud member of the Ball High marching band. While she was in the band she met Sylvia Chapa and Donna Clegg, and they turned out to be lifelong friends. Charlene was employed by National Western until her retirement in October 2021.

Charlene loved her cats and her spirit was filled with music and rhythm that she shared with everyone. She moved through life by the beat of rock n roll. She sure loved her Astros and Texans. Charlene had the kindest soul in the world and would give the shirt off her back if she knew it would help and comfort you.

Charlene is preceded in death by mother Ginger Watts; father Raymond E. Watts; and sister Colleen Kahler.

She is survived by her nieces Brooke Muraca (Scott) and Brianne Kirkland (Aaron); great nephews Scotty Muraca, Tyler Muraca, Easton Kirkland and Lane Kirkland; and a host of other family and friends.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Linda Clarke and Missy Guillory for taking good care of Charlene during the last 6 months.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 A.M.
