Cathy Jo Taylor

Catherine Josephine Taylor, loving mother and Nonie, passed away peacefully August 25, 2022, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. 

Cathy Jo was born January 15, 1962, on Galveston Island to Salvatore Massa and Virginia Nichols. They both preceded her in death. As a true Galvestonian, Cathy Jo adored the beach and tourism on the island and worked for most of her career with the Galveston Parks Board.

Cathy Jo spent much of her time gardening, shopping with her two daughters and three grandchildren, and cooking. Cathy Jo raised her two daughters with love and devotion and touched the lives of everyone who met her. She will be deeply missed by friends and family, especially daughters Kerryann Taylor and Kelly Vivian Taylor, and grandchildren Ava Taylor, Madison French, Matthew French, brother and sisters.

Goodbye to an amazing mother, wonderful woman and beautiful soul. 

Funeral rites will be held Thursday, September 1, 2022 at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home, 2128 Broadway Avenue J in Galveston. Visitation will be held from 1-2:30 p.m., Rosary will be said from 2:30-3 p.m. and the memorial service begins at 3 p.m.
