Carolyn Louise McGuire

La Marque – Carolyn Louise McAfee McGuire, age 78, passed away Friday, June 18, 2021 at The Meridian, in Galveston, Texas. She was born on July 17, 1942 in McAllen, Texas. Carolyn attended Texas A&M, Kingsville; where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in 1964. She then attended Texas A&M, College Station; were she received a Master’s Degree in 1969. In 2008, she received her Juris Doctor(Law Degree) from the  Birmingham School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama. Carolyn was a school teacher, working at several schools both here in the state of Texas and for the Department of Defense in Germany. Her greatest passion was the genealogical study of the McAfee family. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Ethel McAfee. 

She is survived by her children, Tara McGuire and John McGuire; grandson Matthew McGuire; and lifelong friend Gerald Carruth.
