Brenda Lopez

On Saturday, May 10, 2025, Brenda passed away peacefully at her home in Friendswood, TX surrounded by her loving family. 

Brenda was born in Galveston, TX on August 28, 1941 to Oscar Carrel James and Virginia Eva Fox. She was a proud BOI. She went to San Jacinto elementary, Stephen F. Austin junior high, and graduated from Ball High School in 1958. When Brenda was a teenager, she worked at Jack Tar and Nathan’s Clothing Store.  In her youth she walked all over Galveston with her girlfriends and enjoyed spending time at Murdoch’s swimming and sunbathing, as well as roller skating at the East beach skating rink. 

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, son Craig Hart, grandmother Maybelle Fox, brother Charles Anderson, and sister Ginger Alexander; and her beloved furry angels, JD and Pepe. 

Brenda is survived by her husband, Rick Lopez, and son Kyle Hart, as well as numerous family and friends. 

There will be a visitation on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 10:00 - 11:00 and funeral service from 11:00 - 12:00 at J. Levy & Termini in Galveston, Tx., with Brother Eric Hodge officiating.
