Blanca Bell, 92, of Galveston, Texas died on February 23, 2026, in her home as she lost her battle to cancer. A graveside service will be held Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 11:00 A.M., with an entombment at the Mausoleum of Calvary Cemetery. She was born on December 14, 1933, in Weslaco, Texas to Primativo and Librada Chapa.
Blanca was a 1952 graduate of Ball High School and attended San Jacinto Community College. She married William “Bill” Bell in Galveston in 1957. The family lived in Sheridan, Wyoming for a while before returning to Galveston in 1961. She retired after 35 years as an Assistant Purchasing Agent from American National Insurance Agency. Blanca and Bill enjoyed dancing and traveling where they visited many places worldwide. She was actively involved with local Catholic churches.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill and a daughter, Rita Bell Warner.
Survivors include sons Mike (Carole) and Pat (Lanette) and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family extends a special thank you to her caregiver, Maxine, from Right-at-Home and her doctors and nurses from Bristol Hospice.
