In Loving Memory of Allie Faye Woody Reyna
Allie Faye Woody Reyna was born on September 24, 1947, in DeRidder, Louisiana. She grew up in East Texas and spent her adult life in Galveston. She passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones on July 11, 2025.
She devoted herself to her family and caring for others, especially children, and was an avid reader with a lifelong love of pets. She was a generous spirit and a lifelong caretaker, tending not only to those around her with compassion and patience but also to her home, which she kept as a welcoming and comforting haven for all who visited. From a young age, she cooked for her siblings, often finding creative ways to prepare meals and snacks for them, and later she learned to make delicious Mexican food from her sister-in-law, Maria Rosas. Her strong faith in God guided her throughout her life and inspired those who knew her.
She is survived by her three children, Tracey Strickland and her husband Andrew, Michelle Giuliani and her husband Edward, and Ruben Reyna, Jr. and his wife Susan, as well as her former husband of fifty years, Ruben Reyna, her stepdaughters Lorraine Ochoa and her husband Peter, Margot Burchard and her husband Brent, and Lillie Reyna, her son-in-law Greg Hartnett, her three sisters and one brother, along with numerous cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Doris Woody and Ruby Harvey, her stepdaughter Desiree Hartnett, her granddaughter Hailey Jean Letsos, and her great-grandson Milo Garza.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and care. Her family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude for the many acts of kindness and support shown during this time, and especially thanks Allegiance Hospice for their compassionate care in her final days.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to a charity of your choice, such as the local library, a pet care facility, or a hospice program.
A memorial service will be held at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025, with Reverend Dennis Allen officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 12:00 p.m.
