Charlotte Elaine Kollman Cotter, passed from this life Monday evening, February 13, 2017, surrounded by family in Galveston.

Born August 5, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri, Mrs. Cotter grew up in Evanston, IL and graduated from Evanston High School. She attended college and majored in English. She was a diehard Cincinnati Reds fan. She lived in Phoenix for many years, but had been a resident of Galveston for over 40 years, where she was a medical transcriptionist and a legal secretary. A member of Alcoholics Anonymous, she helped many women in the journey of sobriety. She was a member of the Catholic Church, loved to swim, enjoyed boating and loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Joanne Krohn, and her parents, Clarence and Helen Kollman.

Survivors include her loving husband of 24 years, John Blake Cotter, Jr.; daughter, Maureen Golla and husband, Tom; daughter, Wendy Campbell; sons, Jeffrey Krohn, Steven Krohn, and Warren McNaughton; step-daughters, Karen Walker, and Bitsy Cotter; step-son, Mike Cotter and wife, Ivette; step-son, Bryan Cotter and wife, Claudia; sister, Marjorie Baker and husband Chuck; grandchildren, Jennifer Aleman, Kenneth Nabors and wife Nicole, Lyndsey and Michael Massey, Ben Nabors and Katie Kimball, Julia and Jesse Claerbout, Michael Krohn, Brett Krohn, Victoria Campbell and Christopher Mohler, Penny Campbell and Kelsey House, Skye Campbell, Tyler McNaughton, Camila Cotter, Daniela Cotter, Andrea Cotter, Michael Cotter Jr., Megan Walker, Iza Cotter, Mia Cotter, Zoe Cotter, Zacgari Cotter, and Zuri Cotter; great grandchildren, Tyler Nabors, William Claerbout, Alayna Claerbout, Lilly Massey, Damyan Massey, Ivy Massey, Parker Mitchell, Adriella Ferrel and Landon Mohler.

Visitation will be held at 12:00 noon with a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2017, in the chapel of J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home, 2128 Broadway Street, Galveston TX 77550, (409) 763-4621, with Deacon John Pistone officiating. Reception to follow.
