Annette Charlene Schroeder Hoff, age 80, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Katy, Texas. She was born in Galveston, Texas on May 12, 1936 to Leslie and Bernice Schroeder. She is a 1954 graduate of Ball High School. She married George Lane Hoff on December 2, 1955 in Galveston, Texas and they remained happily married until his death in 1992. She was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church and most recently attended First Lutheran Church in Galveston. In addition to raising her children, Charlene worked for the Santa Fe Railroad and then for the University of Texas Medical Branch for many years. However, her joy and happiness in life came from spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Leslie and Bernice Schroeder of Galveston, Texas; her husband, George Lane Hoff of Galveston, Texas; and her brother Leslie Schroeder of Texas City, Texas.

She is survived by her daughters, Sherrill Hoff Gonzalez and spouse Willy of Galveston, Texas, Leigh Ann Hoff Gill of Hitchcock, Texas and Ella Curran and spouse Michael of Galveston, Texas; step-daughters, Terri Maulding of Austin, Texas and Sharon Hoff of California; step-son Ronny Hoff of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Chaz Gill and Kayla Gill of San Antonio, Texas, Ashlyn Gill of Waco, Texas, Jason Maulding and Nathan Maulding of Austin, Texas, Lauren Hunnicutt, Erin Curran, Hope Curran, Jackson Gonzalez, and Nicholas Gonzalez all of Galveston; great-grandchild Emery Tavitas of San Antonio, Texas.

Other close family members important to Charlene include: Gwen Schroeder of Dallas, Texas; Les Schroeder of San Francisco, CA; Kathy Schroeder of Dallas, Texas and Terry Insulman of Round Rock, Texas; Lifelong friends are Linda Roberts of Galveston, Texas; Rhoda Peake, Joyce Poast, and Stella Hernandez(deceased) of Galveston, Texas.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 6, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home, with Reverend Richard Rhoades officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chaz Gill, Mario Ayala, Jeff Roberts, Tony Gonzalez, Tino Gonzalez and Alex Gonzalez.
