Nazle Nader passed away on the morning of January 4th, 2018 at her home in Galveston, Texas. She was born on March 5, 1934 in Ain-Anoub, Lebanon and lived in Texas and Rhode Island since 2005.
Nazle was the eldest of five kids and at a young age cared for her four younger siblings in her Mom’s absence. She is survived by her brothers, Ali, Nadim, and Samir and preceded in death by her brother Sami. She later married and had three sons (Fouad Zeidan, Ziad Zeidan, and Rabih Zeidan) and one daughter (Hala Zeidan). The home caring responsibilities thrust on her did not allow her to complete her education. She often acknowledged her shortcomings in education, but reminded us that this was one of the sacrifices she made to make it possible for us to get educated. She is very proud of her three sons who all have doctoral degrees and of her daughter who has a master’s degree.
She loved her grand kids, all eleven of them. They all enjoyed her cooking and she enjoyed cooking for them until about six months ago. She was not able to cook or make their favorite “Lemonada” (lemonade) as her weakness progressed. In spite of that she found a way to continue her love and legacy by teaching her daughter in law how to make the grand kids’ their favorite “Teta” (Grandma) dishes.
All her family and friends will sorely miss her.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home, with Reverend Raymond Pinard officiating. Interment will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas.
