Well my friends, it was time for me to say goodbye! I didn’t expect to leave so quickly but I can honestly say I have been truly blessed to have every one of you in my life.

I hope I was a sincere and honest man, and lived my life to the best of my abilities that God gave me.

I’m leaving my three girls behind to share my memories with. My mom, Barbara Barnett, thank you for always supporting me, I really never said thank you enough. My beautiful daughter, Elysheva, whom I am so VERY proud of, you’re so much smarter than me! And my wife, Margaret; Bears mate for life. I love you all. – Joe

Joseph practiced Nursing for 32 years, it was his life’s passion and he was excellent at it. He is remembered for his years of service at UTMB & Shriner’s Burns Institute in Galveston and Morgan Pediatric and Primary & Diagnostic Centers in Corpus Christi. He was a Mason and Shriner, a member of the Scottish Rite and received the DeMolay Degree of Chevalier.

Joseph passed away October 18, 2017 after a short bout with cancer. He was born on July 12, 1960 in Tampa, Florida. He was preceded by his father, Col. Jack Barnett, who he missed greatly.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday October 23, 2017 at J Levy & Termini Funeral Homes in Galveston, with Rabbi James Kessler officiating. Interment will follow at Congregation B’nai Israel Cemetery. Memorial services will be held in Corpus Christi Texas on Wednesday October 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Temple Beth Israel.

I found this note written by Joseph who was the smartest and sweetest man I knew; he’s always been my best friend. I miss you boo, you have some promises to keep, let’s try to finish them in the next life. See you there!
