Estella Hernandez, aged 72, left this life for eternal rest on Friday October 28, 2016 in Webster TX at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center after years of health complications. Estella was born November 16, 1943 in Elgin, TX. At age 12, Galveston, TX became home. Estella is a graduate of Ball High School class of 1962. She retired from UTMB Department of Microbiology after 30 years of service. She was a proud member of the ABWA and LULAC Council 151, as well as a long-time member of The Damas of Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Patrick Catholic Church. Stella enjoyed time spent with family the most.
Stella is preceded in death by her parents, Leonicio and Feliz Flores.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years Roberto “Bobby” Hernandez; her children John Richard Flores, Sabrina H. Gonzales, Adan Hernandez and wife Gabby, Andrea F. Hernandez; her five grandchildren, Crispin Gonzales, Victoria Hernandez, Adriana Gonzales, Sebastian Hernandez and Ivan Hernandez. Stella is also survived by three sisters, Beatrice Carazales, Marcelina Flores and Josephine Flores; as well as several Godchildren and numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., with a Rosary and Vigil to begin at 7:00 P.M., with Deacon Robert Standridge officiating. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with Father E.J. Stein officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
