Robert Arthur "Bob" Hart




Graveside Services will be held at 10:15 a.m., Friday, April 11, 2014, at the Houston National Cemetery, Houston, TX.

Burial will follow services Friday at the cemetery.

  Robert Arthur, "Bob" Hart passed away Thursday, April 3,2014, at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. He was 58 years old. Bob was born in Pasadena,TX to George Arthur and Mary Frances Moseley Hart. He was enlisted in the United States Navy from September, 1972 until November, 1975, serving the Armed Forces during the Vietnam Era. He then re-enlisted into the United States Naval Reserve in 1975 and served his country proudly until such time that he was honorably discharged in September,1978.

By profession, Bob was employed more than 25 years with Shell Oil Company as a boilermaker before retiring. He enjoyed BBQ cookouts and backyard gatherings. Having a "need for speed", Bob loved Harley Davidson motorcycles and fast moving cars. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed spending good times with many.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents George and Mary Frances Hart and also one of his grandsons, Hunter Vandecaveye. He leaves behind his two daughters, Mallory Hart and Stephanie Wilcox of Galveston, TX and also his grandson, Bryce Vandecaveye. Sharing in his loss,as well,is Bob's sister, Cindy Griffis of Zephyr Hills, FL, brother, David Hart of La Marque, TX, niece, Karen Brinkley and also, Maya Hart, mother of his children, of Jamaica Beach, TX. He will lovingly be missed.
