Gloria Galicia Angel

March 8, 1939 — March 25, 2014




Visitation will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014 at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., with a Rosary and Vigil to begin at 7:00 P.M.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.



Gloria Galicia Angel age 75 of Texas City passed away on March 25, 2014 at Clear Lake Hospital. Gloria was born March 8, 1939 in Galveston, Texas. She married Ben Angel Sr and they were married for 52 years. Gloria retired from Kmart in Galveston. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and great grandmother.

Mrs. Angel is preceded in death by her parents Jacinto and Susie Galicia, sisters; Lydia Galicia, Maggie Gomez, and Georgia Vega, brother: Raymond Galicia and nieces Virginia Mendez, and Angelita Mendez.

Survivors include her husband Ben Angel Sr., sons Ruben Elizondo Sr and wife Denise; Ben Angel Jr and wife Susan, and Jayme Angel, her sister Mary Alfaro and brother Dave Galicia and wife Nancy. Grandsons Ruben Elizondo JR and wife Diana, Ben Angel III and wife Tiffany, Julian Elizondo and wife Lulu, David Angel and John Angel, Granddaughters, Susie Arevalo and husband Edwin, Stephanie Drake and husband David, Jennifer Elizondo, Jackie Benavides and husband Eriberto, and Samantha Angel and numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by everyone.

Serving as pallbearers are her grandsons Ruben Elizondo Jr, Julian Elizondo, and Jesus Galicia, and family friends Jimmy Zaro, Paul Renden and Bruce Crum. Honorary pallbearer will be Edward O’Connor Sr.

The family would like to thank everyone for your kind words and prayers and for those who came to the hospital to pay their respects, especially during this difficult time.
