Betty Jane Cram Lynn

Visitation will be on Monday, September 22, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home at 2126 Broadway in Galveston, Texas.

Eastern Star graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock, Texas.

  Betty Jane Cram Lynn passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at St.Luke's Hospital in Houston, Texas. She was born on December 14, 1929 to Louis Cram and Bertha Chauvin Cram in Galveston, Texas. She was very proud to be a B. O. I. - Born On Island. She attended Ball High School and she met the love of her life, Clinton LaVon Lynn and they married on September 14, 1946.

Betty Lynn was a mother, and homemaker as well as working with her husband in forming and managing Broadway Electric Contracting Company in Galveston for many years. They retired and established the Rocking L - Lynn Ranch in Franklin, Texas.

Betty and Clinton Lynn were very active members in the Masonic Fraternal Family. Betty joined Mizpah Chapter No. 2 and later affiliated with Franklin Chapter No. 311 Order of the Eastern Star. She was awarded her Sixty Year Pin and certificate by Bobbi White, Most Worthy Grand Matron, in 2013. She was very active with York Rite Assembly No. 269 and served as Mother Advisor.

Betty Lynn is survived by her Sister, Sylvia Johnson, of Texas City; her daughters, Alma Lynn Bane of Washington, D.C. and Sandra Ann Lynn of Houston, Texas; son-in-law, Charles W. Bane; granddaughters, Greta, Molly, Mandy, Deborah, Cynthia, and Kriste; and grandson, Christopher; and two great-granddaughters and nine great-grandsons. She was proceeded in death by her parents; her husband, Clinton LaVon Lynn Sr.; her son, Clinton LaVon Lynn, Jr.; her brothers, George, Bobby, William, and L. J.; and her Sister Dorothy.
