Visitation will be held at J. Levy and Termini Funeral Home on Friday May 23, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to begin at 6:30 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., with Deacon Henry Herrera officiating.


Beatriz Montenegro passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Beatriz was born in Bogota, Colombia on January 9, 1936. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She loved gardening and traveling. She also loved and enjoyed spending time with her 5 grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ignacio and Sara Acero, her two sisters Sarita Garcia and Elvira Ardila.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years Hernando Montenegro; her daughter and son in law Martha and James Norris, son and daughter in law Hernando and Adriana Montenegro; her brothers Gabriel Acero and wife Ergilia, Eduardo Acero and wife Maria, Jaime Acero and wife Georgina; sister Leonor Vargas and husband Armando; and her 5 angels, (her grandchildren) Gracie Norris, Justin Montenegro, Glen Montenegro, Anthony Montenegro and Coby Montenegro; and multiple nieces and nephews and their spouses.

The family wishes to express a special thanks for the kindness and support of Amed Hospice.
