Doyle Eugene Williams Sr., (aka 9 Ball Willy), 78 years old, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017 and climbed the stairway to Heaven to be re-united with his loving wife Mary Ann and daughters Darlene and Diane. He was born on October 14, 1938 in Fort Worth, Texas to Frances Turner-Sessums. He was an outgoing man and lived every day of his life to the fullest. He joined the U.S. Coast Guard in 1957 and was stationed in Galveston, Texas, where he met and married the love of his life Mary Ann. He worked for and was a member of I.L.A. Local 1665 Clerks and Checkers until he retired. He was a passionate pool player from a very young age and was soon given the nickname of “9 Ball Willy”, for his keen eye and ability to play billiards so well.
He leaves behind his two sons, Dale Williams(Patricia) and Doyle Williams, II(Rene); granddaughters: Mary Francis Williams(Renè), Celenia Williams, Roxanne Williams, Angelina Lewis(Berto), Annabeth Lewis, Angelica Crockett, Serenity Crockett and Laura Jayne Joyner; grandsons: Matthew Williams, Doyle Williams III(Nancy), Chase Williams and Maurise Matamoras. He also has ten great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 11:00 A.M., with Reverend Raymond Pinard officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dale Williams, Matthew Williams, Chase Williams, Doyle Williams III, Doyle Williams II and Maurise Matamoras. Honorary pallbearers will be Russell Vera and Robert Janke.
We would love to express our love and gratitude to Mariana Mustachia-Stevenson, her husband Joshua and their daughters Elisiana and Jiahvana for the special care, attention and love that was provided on a daily basis for the last year. We would also like to thank the I.C.U. night staff at Mainland Medical Hospital for the T.L.C. that was given to our father and family in the last hours.
