Services

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 27, 2015 at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home, with Deacon Robert Standridge officiating.

Interment will be held at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock, Texas.

  Carmen Filidei Norris (Mema), age 88, passed away Monday, February 23, 2015 at Gulf Health Care Nursing Center in Galveston. She was born in Galveston, Texas on October 30, 1926 to Armido and Antoinette Filidei. Carmen owned Norris Day Care for 20 years. She retired from The Donut Palace at age 80, after 20 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her six brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughters Janis Kimling and Mary Reznicek; son James Kimling, Jr.; grandchildren Dawn Pennington, Scott Solis, Gabe Madrigal, Vance Court and James Kimling, III; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Scott Solis, Gabe Madrigal, James Kimling, III, Adam Flores, Andrew Dagg, Stephen Solis and Brandon Madrigal. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Filidei, Donald Filidei, Armido Filidei, III, Leon Filidei and Paul Filidei.

The family wishes to express a special thanks to the staff of Gulf Health Care and Hallmark Hospice for their kindness and compassion during this difficult time.
