Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home.

  Alta Fay Allison, age 84, passed away Monday, January 19, 2015 at Regal Estates, with her family at her side. She was born in Yoakum, Texas on March 17, 1930 to Mr. and Mrs. Grady D. Shows. She graduated from Ball High School in 1947. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree at Howard Payne University and a Master of Arts Degree from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. She taught at various schools in Galveston County for 31 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband E.M. (Al) Allison; siblings Mildred Dossy, Helen Lindley, Boyd Shows, Dorothy Miller, Raymond Shows and Donald Shows.

She is survived by her step-son Rodger Allison and his wife Nancy; granddaughter Lisa Allison; great-granddaughter Elizabeth Allison; her brothers Floyd Shows and his wife Barbara, Roger Shows and his wife Alice and Larry Shows and his wife Glenda; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home.
