Services

A Rosary and memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home beginning at 7:00 P.M, with Deacon John Carrillo officiating.

The family will receive visitors prior to service time beginning at 4:00 P.M.

 

 

George Chriss Fabain, III, age 51, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Galveston, Texas on May 21, 1963. He and his father owned Smith and Joyce Printing for numerous years. He retired from the City of Galveston after 26 years of operating the Print Shop. His hobbies included restoring used cars and repairing bicycles. All of the neighborhood kids would come to him with their bikes. He especially loved his corvettes and classic cars, Nascar racing and Tony Stewart, fishing, shooting pool, and playing with his four-wheeler on the beach dunes or popping wheelies in the neighborhood. He loved hanging out in his garage with Jaybird and the guys, smoking the neighborhood out with his barbecue, playing 8-liners and gambling in Louisiana. However, his greatest love was watching his son play baseball and bowl. He received all his sacraments and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of the Holy Family Catholic Parish where he wed Melody on August 17, 1991.

He was preceeded in death by his father George Chriss Fabain, Jr; sisters Kitt Fabain and Dorey Fabain; and uncle John E. Fabain; father-in-law Fred Ewald Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Melody Fabain; mother Barbara Fabain; sons Jordan Fabain and Jerrett Fabain; sister Kelly Fabain; brother Russ Fabain and wife Cookie; granddaughter Haylee Fabain; mother-in-law Rita Ewald; grandparent-in-law Mollie Sweatt & Jacob Lindle; adopted daughter Marissa “Girly” Garza; his pets, Reeses and that Silly Gray Cat; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and some really great friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Taylor Riall, Dr. Avi Markowitz, HCT, UTMB Infusion, and the Victory Lakes Oncology office staff.
