Services

A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Christopher at 6:30 p.m., Friday, June 20,2014 at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home. Christopher's family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 21, 2014 at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home with Pastor Sherman Wilcots officiating.

Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, TX.

  Christopher Ignacio Chapa went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 16, 2014. He was 27 years old. Growing up on Galveston Island, Christopher proudly graduated from Ball High School in 2005. Working with Landry's and serving the hospitality industry, Christopher's responsibilities included his experience in both supervisory and job training capacities. His hard work and dedication touched everyone he served.

 

In his free time, Christopher loved running along the Seawall, reading and listening to music. Perhaps, the most important time for him was the time spent with his loving family and many friends.

Christopher loved well and he loved deeply and if you were lucky enough to have him in your life, you felt his love through his emotions and feelings shared. He took every opportunity to encourage, care and serve those he loved and for these most precious 27 years he touched upon the lives of many. He will be forever missed but it is known that he is in Heaven with his Savior, Jesus Christ.

Christopher is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Cardwell, Arcadio Chapa, Howard Etzel and Luis Sendejas, Sr. and also his beloved aunt Elizabeth "Lisa" Sendejas and uncle Hector Sendejas.

He leaves behind his loving parents, Sylvia Chapa-Sendejas, Michael Sendejas, Sr., and Richard Revilla (Crystina). Saddened by their loss are sisters, Alana Holmes (husband Eric) and Stephanie Chapa, brothers, Michael Sendejas, Jr. Christian Sendejas (Camille), Anthony Sendejas and Isaiah Sendejas. Sharing in his loss, also is Christopher's grandparents, Selma Etzel, Margarito and Lenora Revilla and Ruth Almaguer. Christopher is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, other loving family and friends, most especially, his niece Adelaide who was the light of his life and also his beloved aunt Misty Cuellar (Samuel). His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

Pallbearers will be Michael Sendejas, Jr., Christian Sendejas, Isaiah Sendejas, Jesse Sendejas, Sr., John Vasquez, Jr. and Gilbert Ray Sendejas. Honorary Pallbearers will be Anthony Sendejas, Aaron Roque, Brandon Sendejas, Jesse Sendejas, Jr. and Michael Galavez.

Christopher's family takes this opportunity to give a special thank you to all who have given their loving thoughts and care during this most difficult time, most especially, Aunt Ruthie Sendejas, Aunt Yvonne Sendejas, Aunt Chanelle Mejia-Sendejas, beloved cousin, Jessica Sendejas, Rebecka Ray (Gilbert) and Uncle Jesse Sendejas, Sr.
