Cheri Citorelli (Brown) Garcia passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2014, in Galveston, Texas, after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. Cheri was born on June 13, 1952, in Lubbock, Texas. She grew up in Amarillo, and graduated from Amarillo High School.
After the death of her son’s father, Cheri moved to Galveston in 1982. She loved the rolling waves of the Gulf, as opposed to the flat plains of The Panhandle. She loved Galveston and the laid-back atmosphere.

Cheri worked 35 years as a legal secretary, having spent the last 24 years with Greer, Herz & Adams. She retired in December 2010, to enjoy life with her retired husband. For many years, she was an active member of Legal Secretaries International, Legal Secretaries of Texas, and Legal Secretaries of Galveston County.

Cheri is predeceased by her father and step-mother, John and Sebia Citorelli, and sister Joan Ward. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Henry Garcia; her son, Michael Brown; mother, Polly McClish; sisters, Beverly Prevette (VA) and Elizabeth Ray (Jimmie) of Amarillo, Texas; sisters-in-law Dolores Longoria and Janie Morales; brother-in-law Arthur Garcia; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Cheri will be sorely missed by family, friends, extended family, and her treasured GirlFriendZ Gang. She brought happiness and joy to everyone around her, and her smile would light up the darkest of rooms. She was a woman with a vivacious personality, a caring heart, and unforgettable laugh.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home, with Jack D. Ewing Jr. officiating. Visitation will be held prior to service time beginning at 5:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Cheri’s name to: Ronald McDonald House or American Cancer Society.
