Burial and a graveside service will be at the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Lawton, Oklahoma at a date and time to be announced later.


Mrs Lois E. Wallace passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 20, 2013.

Mrs. Wallace was born on September 8, 1922 in Murray County, Oklahoma, the daughter of Walter A. Day and Myrtle Casey Day. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 67 years Mr. H.V. (Pete) Wallace, Her brother Millard Day, and sister Ruby Plumtree. She is survived by her daughters Sharon (Richard) Curtis, Jeanne Wallace, and Joan Klein, her dear sister Marilyn (Melvyn) Haygood, sister-in-law Mary Lou Day, 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The Wallace family extends its thanks to Lois’s friends Betty Davis and Dr. Anita Mercado for their kindness and compassion to their Mother.

Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice Care Unit, 1708 Auburn, Suite E, Texas City, Texas 77591.

Lois will remain in our hearts forever. We will remember her as a “Strong and Independent Woman”.
