Lawrence (“Larry”) Puccetti III passed away to be with The Lord, on Thursday, the 31st of October 2013 in Weimar, Texas. Larry was born in Galveston, Texas on July 30, 1955 to Lawrence and Melba Puccetti. He graduated from Ball High School and attended Sam Houston State University. Larry lived his life in Galveston helping Lawrence and Melba make Sonny’s Place the iconic Galveston restaurant and bar – loved by generations of Galvestonians.
Larry was loved and admired by many. For those that were lucky enough to know him (or have him squirt you with a Sonny’s mustard bottle) you know that he had a kind, light-hearted spirit, and loved to make people laugh. He had a love for guns and old westerns, and loved spending time in the country.
Larry was a caring son, a great brother, and a wonderful friend. Larry could always be counted on to make everyone laugh. We can all take solace in the fact that Larry spent his last few days at his favorite place, the Puccetti Camp in Weimar, Texas.
He is survived by his parents, Lawrence and Melba Puccetti; his sister, Jo Lynn Falgout and her husband, Gregg; his brother, Richard Puccetti; step-daughter, Josie Vaughn; his nieces Christine and Kimberly Falgout; his aunt Marie Puccetti; and his cousins, Jimmy, Jerry, and Raymond Puccetti.
A visitation will be held at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home (2128 Broadway, Galveston, Texas 77550) from 5:00pm - 7:00pm on Tuesday, November 5th 2013.
