Jose Ascencion Palomo was called by his Master, for his mission was completed on December 19, 2013. He was born on August 15, 1923 in McAllen, Texas to Gregorio and Maria Romana Palomo.

He was married to Francisca Garcia Palomo and from that union they were blessed with six children. He worked for many years as a diesel mechanic with Liberty Fish & Oyster and Island Transit for 2 years and then retired.

He is survived by his children Jose Antonio Palomo and wife Linda, Ernest Palomo and wife Cynthia, Edward Palomo and wife JoAnn, Maria Elisa Garcia and husband Jose, Carmen Hauser and husband Edward, and Cecelia Palomo. He was blessed with 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home from 5-7p.m with, a Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home, with Deacon Sid Cammeresi officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetary in Dickinson, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Joe Tony Aguilar III, Ryan Hauser, Matthew Hauser, Anthony Tong, Edward Hauser, and Jose Garcia.

The Family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to AMED Hospice of Texas City, Dr. Susannah Perkins of UTMB, and to his extended family, the Landeros and Maldonados.
