J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home Chapel, 2128 Broadway, Galveston, Texas

The family will receive visitors prior to the service beginning at 5:00 P.M.

 

Teodulo (Ted) Ochoa and Tyra Don Yesh Ochoa, beloved husband and wife passed away at their residence. They were born in Galveston, Texas. Tyra owned and operated the San Luis Pass Fishing Pier at the end of West Galveston Island. Ted was retired from the U.S. Merchant Marines in 2006 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the 100, First Division, Air Born Screaming Eagles. They were also members of the American Legion Maco Stewart Post #20. Ted enjoyed playing pool, golfing, barbecuing and fishing. Tyra loved bringing gifts to those she loved and always helped those in ill health. She especially loved the beach and the Gulf of Mexico. They were both loving and kind people and will be sadly missed by those who loved them.

They were preceded in death by their parents, his five siblings; and the love of their life, granddaughter Alexandra Yesh, whose death saddened them very deeply.

She is survived by her son Buzzy Yesh and daughter-in-law Mindy Rivera. He is survived by his loving sons, Anthony J. Ochoa, Ted D. Ochoa, Dominick J. Ochoa and daughter Ruth D. Ochoa; brother Oscar Ochoa and wife Adele; sisters Barbara Macksey and husband John, Beatrice Ballard and husband Greg and Irene Kleczka and husband Glen; and numerous nieces and nephews. They are also survived by their special friends Willie Garza, Raymond Rubio, Cindy Smith, Floyd Simmons and neighbors Temple Mclain and Dee Ann Hausinger.
