Interment will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas

 

Lou E. Kline, age 85, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013 at St. John’s Christus Hospital in Nassau Bay. She was born in Spencerville, Oklahoma on October 9, 1927. She attended Rattan High School in Oklahoma and moved to Houston, Texas in 1935. During the 1970’s, Lou earned an Associate’s Certification in Child Development. She owned A & B Nursery School in Houston, Texas and retired in 1998. The children she taught were so well prepared for grade school, that when they entered grade school, they were playfully referred to as “The A & B Brats”. She was a member of Hope Church.

Lou is preceded in death by her brother George Hearn; sisters Mamie H. Hardin and Virgie Johnson.

On September 21, 1979, she married the love of her life, Walter Kline. They were married for over 36 years. She is also survived by her daughter Febe English and husband Harvey; son Matthew L. Walker; stepson Larry C. Kline and wife Lori; step-son Robert A. Kline; sister Ann Parker; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members.

Pallbearers will be Harvey English, Larry Kline, Carson Kline, Nathan Kline, Buddy Walker and Matthew Walker.
