Juana Elva Gomez, age 64, went to her eternal rest on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at UTMB Hospital. She was born on September 15, 1949 in Zaragoza, Coahuila, Mexico to her parents Trinidad Galindo and Olegario Soria. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Damas Guadalupanas.  Juana was one of God’s Angels. She loved unconditionally,  forgave quickly, and never lost her faith. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She leaves behind her husband Jacinto Gomez; children, Elvia Gomez, Tomas Gomez and wife Rosana, Julia De Leon and husband Emilio, Rosalba Rodriguez, and Carlos Gomez and wife Naomi; devoted niece Tina Rios; grandchildren, Kimberly Chung, Arien Joyce, Thomas Gomez, Isabella Gomez, Emilio De Leon, Jr., Jose Rodriguez and Haley Rodriguez, Jody Rodriguez and Bianca Gomez; great-grandchildren, Madison Rodriguez, Howard Long, Mason Sanchez and Angel Long; and numerous nieces, nephews and numerous other family members.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., with a Rosary to begin at 7:00 P.M.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with Father John Taosan officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Emilio De Leon, Tomas Gomez, Jose Rodriguez, Jody Rodriguez, Juan Mendez and Lorenzo Perez. Honorary pallbearers will be Carlos Gomez and Santiago Mosquera.
