Bob Finch, age 71, passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on September 18, 1942.

He worked in the oil and gas industry as an engineer. He served in the U.S. Army in the 82nd Airborne Division from 1964 to 1966. Bob loved being outside, especially on or near the water. Friends will remember his fun-loving spirit and joy for life. He was a devoted husband, father and friend, and will be sorely missed.

He was preceded in death by his mother Louella Belle Highbanks; and father Lawrence (Blacky) McVey Finch.

He is survived by his wife Patti Finch of Galveston; son James Finch of San Antonio, and grandchildren Chrystal, Christy and Martin, and 5 great-grandchildren of Austin; daughter Lori Finch and granddaughters Brooke and Bethany of Runge, Texas; brother James Finch and wife Gloria and nephew Robert of Simi Valley, California.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Moody Memorial United Methodist Church, 2803 53rd Street, Galveston, Texas, with Reverend Raymond Pinard and Lance Ayana officiating.
